Singapore pools soccer betting guide

  • Stay away from HT-FT bets as much as possible. These bets are often the ones most people lose money on. You might think that they give you better odds, but with better odds you assume a much greater risk. Bet this format at your own risk. One stupid goal or poor first half performance will end your bet even before the second half is played.

  • The -1.5 (and above) ball given by Singapore Pools should be watched carefully as some times there are potential steals. For instance, strong team fighting for points VS weak team with nothing to play for should always be taken when it's $2.00 and above. Do not bet on strong teams trying to recover form, until after they do. As Singapore Pools often offers very little for +1.5, the amount offered is pointless to bet on.

  • First scorer should only be bet on when there is a striker on either team on a red hot streak. Don't waste your money on midfielders or defenders who don't take free kicks or penalties. As with most bets, you have to assess the form of the team and the striker(s). Bank on the guy with a scoring streak rather than the one who's trying break a scoring drought. Those who take penalties are the decent bet too. Your chances almost double if it is a striker who takes penalties/free kicks. Last scorer is a really crazy longshot.

  • Pick the score and Total goals are often very closely related. Go for a very low number if you know it is going to be a tight/cagey/opening match. If you are going for both bets, make sure they correspond otherwise it is pointless. Eg. PTS: 1-0, TG: 1 or 2. Total goals is much easier to score then Pick the score as there are less variables.

  • Championships winner bets should be places at the beginning or before half way through season/tournament for bests odds. Eg. Man Utd/Chelsea before season starts usually yields $2.80, however towards the end of the season should any of them start to pull away, the odds will be reduced drastically. Placing a bet later on in the season should only be left to the experienced punters who can predict whether a team can fight their way back to the top. Ultimately, this bet is more of a romantic choice for those who are supporting certain teams.

  • The combos on matchday have too many variables to be considered a good bet. Any 1 of the 4 scenarios goes wrong and your bet is lost. Similar to HT-FT risk but riskier.

  • 1X2 and 1.5 Goal are the best bets for Singapore Pools. In 1X2, there are only 3 possible outcomes and you just have to predict which result seems more likely. For 1.5 Goal, it is probably the least riskiest as there are only 2 outcomes.

  • Pay attention to your winnings. If you start losing bets, take a step back and observe for the next few matches, instead of having the mentality to win everything back immediately. You might end up losing all your winnings. Betting on underdogs and weaker teams most of the time is really a silly thing to do. These is a reason why their odds are higher. Just because it's higher, it makes people bet on silly outcomes.

  • And last but not least, bet responsibly. Bet within your means. Treat soccer betting as a hobby that you indulge in once in a while rather than an addiction. Bet with the expendable income, not your last 50 dollars you have left for the week. Don't become one of those fools thinking that you can become a rich guy solely through betting. For that one person that becomes rich, a hundred dozens more become paupers.
